I finally got my autographed copy of Phil Gordon's - The Little Blue Book. This was one of my prizes for winning the blogger Roshambo event last year. I wanted to read his book before my poker lesson.

This poker blogger tournament runs weekly on Tuesday evenings and requires the password bodogblogger for entry.

This post is overdue I know. But now that I am fueled by some yummy Cosmos, I can release my thoughts properly.

I love being a blogger because of you!

The weekend before last I had the pleasure of attending the latest blogger Vegas event. Even though my trip was only for a night, it was enough to remind me why I enjoy being a part of the poker blogger community. Outsiders will never understand how poker bloggers from all walks of life can connect in such a meaningful way.

I felt the love. The kinship. The appreciation.

My bucket was filled. It was a rejuvenating experience.

Thank you my friends! And thanks especially to the little man who wouldn't let me stay away.

So if you have been waiting to start your blog, wondering if it will be good enough. Wondering if people will read it. Coming up with other excuses not to start. Let me just say, stop waiting. You are missing out on the biggest benefit to join. You will be one of us. We will love you whether you post all the time or once in awhile. Whether we give a hoot about what you write or not. I've finally been able to play a few of the blogger games including last night's Mondays at the Hoy. Our host the Hoy took me out when we both landed trip Queens only he rivered a Boat to win the hand and end my game.

Exotic Berry

Exotic Berry is my Poison of choice for the evening. It is a Bartles & Jaymes flavored malt cooler that is quite tasty. And my donation site for the evening is Poker Stars. Now that I have time and but no money, I've been playing the low limit MTTs for kicks.

Last night, I made after playing about 4 hours in a 3.30 MTT, I made a whole 7.36 (whoopeeee!!!) by finishing 30th.

I've also had fun donating at some of the recent blogger events lately. There are so many new bloggers that I don't even know. How have you guys been missing your proper orientation? Didn't anyone tell you that you must play HU with Mrs. Poison? Hit me up for a HU match already!!!!!!!!

Pissing and Poker

Last Saturday night, I played at a home game that was set-up in the garage. The host asked all the guys to piss outside in the dirt and the women could go inside the house. The more I thought about it, the more disgusting it seems. And yes, I stayed and played the game anyway.

I just kept thinking that if the men are pissing outside then they are not washing their hands. Ugghhhh!!!!!!!!! So I was touching the chips and cards that were touched with hands unwashed after urinating. TOTALLY gross!!!!

Even more disturbing was the fact that people were eating pizza and chips after touching the cards and poker chips.

So I decided to do some research about hand washing. Here are some of the things I found:
